On a daily basis…
Ashley Orozco manages big budgets, tackles complex challenges, and champions worthy efforts.
She will do exactly that as a Supervisor.
We deserve leadership that has an eye to the future, is grounded in community, and the courage to meet the moment.
Issues & Priorities
Fiscal Responsibility & Balanced Budgets
Your tax dollars should build a stronger Ventura County. We can lower costs by updating the systems that hold families and businesses back. It’s time to review our budgets, clean out waste, and streamline processes. A stronger tomorrow starts with smart planning today.
Protect Our Home
Our open space, clean air, and local economy are irreplaceable, it’s time we safeguard them with purpose. Families shouldn’t have to choose between staying here and getting ahead—they should be able to do both. We need to ensure that our emergency planning includes preventative measures, not just reactive bandaids.
Strengthen Health & Social Services
Every family deserves support that is easy to access, modern, and built to help them thrive. Real progress brings everyone forward, not just a few. When county services work the way they should, everything else in our community works better too. Real leadership starts with showing up and staying focused on the people who count on us every day.
Fiscal Responsibility & Balanced Budgets
Trust, Transparency, Efficiency, ModernizationSmarter Spending for a Stronger Future
Your tax dollars should build a stronger Ventura County—not disappear into problems that never get fixed. You deserve leadership that will take an accounting of our current situation and take accountability for their impact on our futures. There is waste at the county currently. In this time, when Federal dollars are shrinking, the County must be diligent and creative to meet the needs of their constituents. “There’s nothing we can do” is not an option.
Responsible Leadership
Leadership is about putting the community first, making informed decisions, and being honest about both the challenges and the opportunities ahead. I will take a hands-on, transparent approach to solving problems, using data, listening to residents, and staying focused on what benefits Ventura County most. Responsible leadership also means respecting taxpayer dollars, following through on oversight recommendations, and staying fully committed to the role you were elected to do. When leaders act with integrity and purpose, trust grows and real progress becomes possible.
Modern Solutions for a more Affordability
The cost of living keeps rising, and too many people feel squeezed by high housing prices and slow, outdated county systems. We need practical, modern tools to make our community more affordable. I will work to update how the County delivers housing support, streamline permitting for new homes, and fix the technology challenges that slow everything down—from tax payments to basic services. When government operates efficiently and stays current, families can access services faster, and new housing can be built more responsibly. Modern upgrades aren’t just conveniences, they’re part of keeping Ventura County livable.
transparency & responsiveness
Good government listens—really listens—and brings community voices into the decisions that shape our future. It is vital that the people can trust their representation. We deserve leadership that will be clear about their intentions and motivations. When the community speaks loud and clear, a strong leader not only responds to those issues, they also seek out input from stakeholders.
PROTECT OUR HOME
Workforce Support, Economic Growth, Environmental StewardshipEconomic Growth
Our future thrives when residents and local businesses grow together. The reality is that Ventura County has become too expensive for families to feel welcome. When we have a strong middle class – where jobs, houses, and opportunities are plentiful – our local businesses have strong consumer bases and skilled employees. Economic growth is not about outsourcing, it is about building networks, support systems, and creative programs that will break down barriers to entry on all levels.
Affordability and opportunity - side by side
Families shouldn’t have to choose between staying here and getting ahead, they should be able to do both. Ventura County should be a place where families can build a secure future without being priced out. That means addressing housing costs, creating strong job opportunities, and making sure support services are easy to use and within reach. I will focus on removing barriers that keep families from accessing help, expanding programs that open doors to better careers, and promoting policies that stabilize household budgets. When affordability and opportunity grow together, families don’t have to choose between staying here and getting ahead, they can do both.
Resilient Futures
A resilient Ventura County is one that plans ahead. It is our responsibility to have the hard conversations around environmental pressures and unexpected challenges. I will champion long-term strategies that strengthen emergency response, support sustainable growth, and protect the natural resources our communities depend on. I will fight for environmental policies that protect us, from wildfire hardening to preserving the open space that makes Ventura County the beautiful place we are proud to call home.
Preparing for the future means improving infrastructure, supporting climate-smart practices and policies, and investing in the health and stability of our neighborhoods. With thoughtful planning and strong partnerships, we can ensure Ventura County stays safe, adaptable, and thriving for generations to come.
Investing in skilled workers
Strong communities begin with strong workers and the pathways that help them grow. As the landscape of the economy changes, so should the planning for the county. We need to invest in creating pathways for career development and career changes for our diverse workforce. A health economy depends on strong unions, community partnerships, and clear transitions.
STRENGTHEN HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES
Health and Well-Being, Stability, Access to ServicesProgress That lifts up families, Businesses, and workers
Real progress brings everyone forward, not just a few. The workforce that serves us today should not be abandoned by us tomorrow. As we modernize systems and shift towards new technologies, part of a successful transition must include planning for lifting up the people that have carried us this far. Local Businesses need innovative solutions and partners at the county ensure that they can thrive in our communities. Families that are the backbone of our community should feel supported and seen by the county leadership in unprecedented times. The workforce should have family-supporting wages and safety nets that help them through hard times…because that’s what real community is, a support network.
Community Outreach & Expanding Support
Every neighborhood in Ventura County deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. I will strengthen outreach efforts so the County actively meets people where they are, especially in communities that have too often been overlooked. That means expanding mobile services, increasing bilingual outreach, partnering with trusted local organizations, and making sure county programs reach families who need them most. Just creating a program is not enough, we need measurable metrics that define program success. When we bring services into the community and remove barriers to participation, more residents can access the care, resources, and opportunities that help them thrive.
A Stable Community
Every family deserves support that is easy to access, modern, and built to help them thrive. A stable community is one where people can find help before crises grow. I will push for programs that keep families housed, connect residents with essential care quickly, and provide steady support during challenging times. When we invest in stability, we lower long-term costs, reduce emergencies, and create a stronger foundation for Ventura County’s future.
Well being is the bottom line
Every resident deserves the chance to live a healthy, supported life. I will work to strengthen our healthcare system by improving coordination, expanding preventative care, and supporting mental health services that meet people where they are. When families can count on strong, responsive health programs, our entire community becomes safer and more resilient. Support shouldn’t be buried under red tape. I will focus on streamlining how residents connect with county programs, simplifying applications, modernizing outdated systems, and improving customer service so people get help without unnecessary delays. Whether it’s mental health assistance, medical care, or family support, access should be clear, quick, and barrier-free.
